David Priest, DVM
Dr. David Priest was raised in Versailles, Kentucky, and is a second-generation equine veterinarian. Dr. Priest has always loved being with horses as his mother is a dressage trainer and his father, Dr. Gary Priest, is a prominent equine veterinarian and fellow colleague at Palm Beach Equine Clinic.
Dr. Priest completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia College at Columbia University in the City of New York. He obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and went on to complete an internship at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center.
In 2017, Dr. Priest became an official associate veterinarian with Palm Beach Equine Clinic. His primary interest in equine medicine includes upper airway diagnosis and surgery, lameness and orthopedics, with a focus on the treatment of thoroughbred racehorses.
While Dr. Priest enjoys the challenges of equine medicine, outside of the clinic he can be found spending time with his wife Julia and dog “Mustard,” playing polo, bicycling, running, and working on cars and trucks.
