Jacqueline Janes

Dr. Janes grew up in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where she began her riding career at local schooling barns and later became deeply involved in the discipline of eventing. She trained with Olympic eventers David and Karen O’Connor for several years, which helped shape her dedication to equine sports. It was through her connection with Dr. Christina Ober, the current team veterinarian for the New Zealand eventing team, that Dr. Janes was inspired to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Kansas State University, where she was honored with the ACVIM Clinical Excellence Award for Large Animal Internal Medicine. During her time at K-State, Dr. Janes met Dr. Paul Wollenman, founder of Palm Beach Equine Clinic, and spent a summer working with him in Big Horn, Wyoming. This experience solidified her decision to complete her veterinary internship at Palm Beach Equine Clinic, where she is now a full-time associate veterinarian.
Dr. Janes has special interests in equine sports medicine, internal medicine, and surgery. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys running with her dog, “Highway,” and exploring nature through hiking.
